McMahon's Beach Wedding Video Tweed Heads | Kay and Gary

Robin Rowland • March 17, 2023

Too cute for words! Kay and Gary are from the UK, and they but have some family connections in Australia. They knew they wanted to have a destination wedding, somewhere that was special to them both. After much consideration, they decided on Australia. Kay dreamed of getting married on a beautiful beach, and Gary loved the idea of having their wedding in a place that was different from home. The couple brought their family from the UK to join them for the wedding. (How's that for a family vacation!?) The wedding took place on the beautiful McMahon's beach near in Tweed Head's, NSW, just over the Queensland border.

The couple exchanged vows on the sand, with the sound of the waves in the background. Their family members had flown thousands of miles to be there and were delighted to witness the couple's special moment.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a beautiful reception at the Greenmount Beach Surf Club.

Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and it's easy to see why. They allow couples to create unique, memorable experiences that their guests will never forget. Kay and Gary's wedding on the beach in Tweed's Head was a perfect example of this. They had created a beautiful day that was filled with love, laughter, and joy, and it was an experience that their guests would cherish forever.

As a wedding photographer based in South East Queensland, I've had the privilege of capturing weddings in some of the region's most stunning locations, from the lush hinterland to the beautiful beaches and vibrant city venues. One of my favourite things to photograph is the beautiful floral arrangements that couples select to complement their big day. Flowers add so much personality and charm to your wedding day, and when you choose blooms that are in season, they’ll not only look fresh but also help create a harmonious connection with the natural beauty of Queensland. Whether you're planning a beachside ceremony on the Gold Coast, a garden wedding in Brisbane, or a mountain retreat in the Scenic Rim, here’s your guide to choosing the right wedding flowers based on the season, and how to work with a florist to create the perfect arrangements within your budget.
