South East Queensland is not just known for its stunning landscapes and picturesque beaches; it also boasts a thriving wedding industry. I recenty got to take part in an amazing Wedding Showcase event at David Fleay's Wildlife Park's new wedding venue. We brought together several talented vendors to create a unique and unforgettable wedding showcase. The result? A wild and romantic affair that left couples dreaming of their own special day amidst the beauty of Queensland's natural wonders.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of David Fleay's Wildlife Park, this wedding showcase was a true celebration of nature's beauty. The park provided a magical rainforest backdrop, offering guests a taste of the wild right in the heart of the Gold Coast.

The Vendors

As attendees explored the showcase, they were treated to live demonstrations, sample menus, and interactive displays from the vendors. Couples had the opportunity to discuss their wedding visions with experts in the industry, gaining valuable insights and inspiration. One of the highlights of the event was the incredible array of talented vendors who came together to make it all happen. Each vendor brought their unique skills and vision to the showcase, contributing to an unforgettable experience for attendees. If you're looking to have a Queensland wedding, I'd recommend checking out these talented vendors!

Table settings played a starring role, showcasing the latest trends in wedding aesthetics. Coupe glasses took center stage, bringing an air of timeless elegance to the tables and adorning drinks with edible flowers and colorful garnishes. Floral accents brought the outdoors in, with lush greenery, native Australian blooms, and cascading vines adorning each table, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. Eclectic cakes became artistic masterpieces, featuring hand-painted designs, metallic accents, and flowers that matched the floral theme.

As a wedding photographer based in South East Queensland, I've had the privilege of capturing weddings in some of the region's most stunning locations, from the lush hinterland to the beautiful beaches and vibrant city venues. One of my favourite things to photograph is the beautiful floral arrangements that couples select to complement their big day. Flowers add so much personality and charm to your wedding day, and when you choose blooms that are in season, they’ll not only look fresh but also help create a harmonious connection with the natural beauty of Queensland. Whether you're planning a beachside ceremony on the Gold Coast, a garden wedding in Brisbane, or a mountain retreat in the Scenic Rim, here’s your guide to choosing the right wedding flowers based on the season, and how to work with a florist to create the perfect arrangements within your budget.
