Elopement at the sunny coastal cottage in brisbane, qLD

Cassie and Josh’s wedding at The Coastal Cottage in Brisbane was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The rustic charm of the venue, with its sun-kissed garden and vintage elegance, set the perfect stage for their celebration. From the moment Cassie walked down the aisle under a canopy of trees to the heartfelt vows they exchanged (with the talented Amy from It Is Love Celebrant) , every detail reflected their deep connection. The venue was such a perfect place to have an elopement, with stylish backdrops to match this couple's modern style. The cottage is actually an original Queensland workers cottage restored tand expanded expanded to include an architect-designed and stunningly luxurious coastal space, just a few km's away from the busy Brisbane CBD! We were actually their first elopement, but I'm sure there will be many more couples looking for a stylish, stress free wedding venue.

As their wedding photographer, I aimed to document not just the big moments but also the small, candid ones that truly capture the essence of their relationship. Whether it was the look of adoration on Josh’s face as Cassie walked down the aisle or the quiet, intimate moments we captured in the garden at dusk, each shot was a testament to their bond. Coastal Cottage provided the perfect backdrop for these timeless images, and I’m thrilled to have created memories that Cassie and Josh can cherish forever.

If you're interested in an elopement, we have a Ceremony Only package that might be just what you're after! Click the wedding date check to see if we have your date free and get the full package details.

As a wedding photographer based in South East Queensland, I've had the privilege of capturing weddings in some of the region's most stunning locations, from the lush hinterland to the beautiful beaches and vibrant city venues. One of my favourite things to photograph is the beautiful floral arrangements that couples select to complement their big day. Flowers add so much personality and charm to your wedding day, and when you choose blooms that are in season, they’ll not only look fresh but also help create a harmonious connection with the natural beauty of Queensland. Whether you're planning a beachside ceremony on the Gold Coast, a garden wedding in Brisbane, or a mountain retreat in the Scenic Rim, here’s your guide to choosing the right wedding flowers based on the season, and how to work with a florist to create the perfect arrangements within your budget.
